The Bar Height Director's Chair can be used outdoors, especially when paired with outdoor fabrics, but it should always be stored indoors immediately after use to prevent damage from weather. Using it outside is great for decks and patios that have some shading, but indoor storage protects the wood and finish for longer life. Leaving this chair, or any Gold Medal Director's Chair, outdoors for extended periods of time will void its warranty. Extended sun exposure is harmful to the woods finish and the wood itself and can cause the frame to crack and fail.
