Back loops are measured from the edge to the first sew line and are included in the width measurement. The correct back loop size allows the back posts to slide through easily, which is vital for easy installation and removal. A good rule of thumb if you do not have a back piece to measure is to measure the diameter of the back post and add 1.5" to it. So if you have a back post that is 1" in diameter, your entered back loop size should be 2.5".
